Dee Blackburn is an Art Director, Scene Designer and a registered Architect. Some of her film and television work includes, the movie Were’ the Millers, Dust Devils (a short), Sleepy Hollow, Banshee and Homeland.

Dee has a Master of Scene Design and has won several awards early in her career; Best Design for a Drama for August Osage, The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity and Bengal Tiger at the Bagdad Zoo. Dee has worked with several theatres in the area and has designed such shows as Miracle on 34th Street, The Whipping Man, and the Exit Interview.

As a registered Architect she has provided design work for many home owners and government entities. She has won several local and state AIA awards including, North Carolina AIA Honor Award for the United Church of Chapel Hill, an AIA Triangle Award for the non-built memorial “A Room for Saying Goodbye” and an Honor Award in the ACSA Affordable Housing Design.

Because of her wide range of experience and skills it helps her develop ideas efficiently and succinctly to each design problem that arises.
